One Loft Race Winner- Alan Richardson

First I would like to say a big thank you to everybody who has contacted me with congratulations after winning the race which even now I cannot believe I have won.
I have been involved with pigeons most of my life for 25 years with the man who first got me into pigeon racing Jim Warhurst a well known and respected fancier locally and in the wider area keeping them together up to his death in 2001. I now keep them at the rear of my home with the help of my wife Fiona who does a lot of the chores around the loft when I am at work, we race in the Whitby premier club which as some very good fanciers we race our birds from100 to 530 miles gaining our fair share of success.
The pigeon that has won the rpra race was a January bred youngster the sire is from a louis thijs hulshout Heremans/Ceusters cock which won 4x1st prizes has a yearling ,when paired to a hen descending from Clive Yates champion hen that bred the 2x midlands national winners.
The dam of the winning youngster has won 4x1st to date including the last 2 old bird races this year from 200 and 340 miles she is bred down from Hubert schroyens Itegem stock gifted to me by my good friend Jess Hotham.
So once again thanks to everyone.
