The charity auction is an important part of the BHW Show of the Year, helping to raise money for the various Show charities – last year’s auction realised over £5,000. Of course, its success relies on the generosity of our members who donate the birds for the auction. We are currently putting the list together for the 2025 Show – would you be able to donate a bird?
For 2025 we are returning to a live auction at the Winter Gardens on Saturday 18th January, with the lots open for bids on our dedicated online auction site for the week leading up to it. This will enable us to maximise the number of people who can bid on the birds and obtain the best possible amount for our charities. The lots will also be well advertised in the British Homing World.
If you are able to donate a bird please complete this resumé and send it to RPRA HQ or email it to [email protected]. If you can also supply a pedigree, that would be a bonus. All donors will receive two free complimentary tickets to the Show, in return.
Thank you!
When do you need the information by?
We would ideally like to have the bird information/resume/pedigree to us by 6th December to allow us time to write up pedigree information to be published in the Christmas edition of the BHW. Any entries received after this date will be accepted but won’t be published in the BHW until January.
Do the birds need to be vaccinated?
Yes, and we will require a proof of vaccination form.
When do the bird/s need to be at Blackpool?
All donations need to be delivered to the Blackpool show by latest Friday afternoon/Saturday morning and given to the stewards.
When will I receive my free entry Blackpool tickets?
We aim to send all free entry Blackpool tickets out to donating members by 20th December subject to when their donations are provided. Any provided late will have tickets sent out in January.
