RPRA National Awards 2022

It’s that time of year to submit your applications for the RPRA National Awards 2022.

There are eight different categories, decided on a coefficient basis:

  • Adult – Short Distance (5 performances needed between 65 & 250 miles)
  • Adult – Middle Distance (2 performances needed between 251 & 450 miles)
  • Best All Round Performance by a single bird (3 performances needed, max of 2 from any one category)
  • Best Performance by a Young Bird (3 performances needed from any distance)
  • Intermediate Fanciers (ages 16 to 21) – Short Distance (5 performances needed between 65 & 250 miles)
  • Intermediate Fanciers (ages 16 to 21) – Middle Distance (2 performances needed between 251 & 450 miles)
  • Young Fanciers (ages 8 to 15) – Short Distance (5 performances needed between 65 & 250 miles)
  • Young Fanciers (ages 8 to 15) – Middle Distance (2 performances needed between 251 & 450 miles)

It is easy to enter: just go to this page and click on the category you wish to enter. You will then be directed to an online form where you can fill in the questions and submit. Alternatively, you can download and complete a paper application form and send it to us at RPRA Awards 2022, RPRA, Unit 35-41, Upper Mills Trading Estate, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, GL10 2BJ.

The deadline for entries is 11.59pm on Friday 4th November 2022.

There are also four other awards which will not be based on coefficient calculations, but will be judged by a panel. To enter these you have to apply direct to your Region, who will forward them to the national panel for judging in November.

These categories are:

  • Adult – Long Distance (minimum 1 performance needed from 450 miles & over)
  • Intermediate Fanciers – Long Distance (minimum 1 performance needed from 450 miles & over)
  • Young Fanciers – Long Distance (minimum 1 performance needed from 450 miles & over)
  • Intermediate/Young Fanciers (ages 8 to 21) – Guy Barrett Trophy (for best performance by a single fancier and also how they contribute to the sport)

Last season was a great success and we hope to make this year even bigger. Results will be published on the website later in the year.

Good luck everyone and may the best pigeons win.
